GINÉ ROSAT 2025

Vinari Grand Gold Award 2025. Catalonia's Best Rosé. For the second consecutive year.

We are delighted to announce that Giné Rosat 2025 has been awarded the Vinari Grand Gold Award at the Vinari Awards, the highest distinction granted to Catalan rosé wines.

With this recognition, we repeat the achievement of the 2024 vintage, making Giné Rosat one of the very few wines to earn this prestigious accolade in two consecutive vintages.

This is no coincidence.

It is the result of an exceptional vineyard, respectful and sustainable viticulture, a truly unique landscape, and our commitment to crafting a rosé with character, depth and outstanding gastronomic versatility.

Quantity

Grape Varieties: 85% Grenache, 15% Merlot

Soil Type: Llicorella (Carboniferous slate).

Origin: Grenache and Merlot from young vineyards on the “Caraco” estate, located in the municipality of Falset.

Alcohol Content: Between 13.5% and 14.5% ABV.

Appearance

The wine displays an intense, brilliant pink colour with raspberry hues and very subtle violet reflections, reflecting a delicate yet precise extraction during cold maceration. Bright and clean, with fine, slightly glyceric legs, it suggests freshness and a gentle creaminess derived from extended lees ageing.

Nose

The nose is clean, expressive and elegant, with excellent aromatic intensity.

Ripe red fruit takes centre stage, led by fresh strawberry, red raspberry and hints of watermelon, all beautifully defined. Delicate floral notes of rose petals and rose water then emerge, lending refinement, identity and elegance.

The finish reveals the character of the terroir through a subtle slate-derived minerality, almost saline in nature, accompanied by delicate hints of blueberry and a touch of fresh citrus. Lees ageing adds complexity while preserving the wine's purity, contributing a very subtle and seamlessly integrated creamy nuance.

Palate

On the palate, this is a dry, precise and beautifully balanced rosé.

The attack is fresh, with vibrant, well-defined acidity characteristic of Grenache grown on llicorella soils, providing energy, length and tension. The mid-palate gains volume from the Merlot, which contributes a silky, rounded texture while maintaining the wine's elegance and freshness.

The red fruit flavours reappear with remarkable clarity, supported by a refined mineral character that adds lift and verticality. The finish is smooth and elegant, offering a structure that is surprisingly sophisticated for a rosé, yet always restrained, harmonious and beautifully balanced.
