Varieties: 40% Garnacha, 40% Cariñena/Mazuelo, and 20% Tempranillo.

Soil type: Weathered primary granite.

Origin: Vines between 10 and 45 years old located in the municipalities of Falset, Marçà, Masroig, Capçanes, Els Guiamets, and Margalef.

Winemaking: Each variety is fermented separately at a temperature of 28°C. Maceration is lengthy, followed by malolactic fermentation. Once complete, the wine is aged in American oak barrels for 4 to 6 months. The blend is then created, bottled, and aged in the bottle for 3 to 5 months.

Alcohol content: Between 13% and 14%.

Soil: Weathered primary granite. 17XI is a wine that encapsulates the diversity of Montsant, a designation of origin characterized by its heterogeneous soils, altitudes, and microclimates. The vines come from different municipalities, each contributing a particular nuance, but all united by a common element: weathered primary granite, a poor, acidic, and highly draining soil. This type of soil favors wines with a clean aromatic profile, well-defined fruit, and fine tannins. The diverse ages of the vines combine energy and freshness (young vines) with structure and depth (older vines).
