Munt Roca Blanco 2017
Elaboration: Fermentation and cold maceration at 10ºC during 12 hours and alcoholic at 14ºC in stainless steel tanks. Once the fermentation is completed, the wine is allowed to rest on fine lees for 4 to 6 months in French oak barrels before bottling.
General characteristics: Dry white wine, complex, with the ripe grape bouquet typical of the region (Priorat), and bright “minerality”.
Recommendations: Drink at temperatures between 10 ºC and 14 ºC, up to ten years after elaboration.
Grape varieties: 80% White Grenache, 20% Pedro Ximenez.
Type of soil: “Llicorella” (Slate) from the Carboniferous Period) covered by a small limestone layer.
Origin: 100% from the Munt Roca property in El Molar (Priorat).
Alcohol content: 13.5 to 15% by vol.
Pairing: All types of fish, but particularly seafood, will be the best company for this white wine. Although, this wine, because of its intensity, can be perfectly paired with white meat and green vegetables. Enjoying it by itself is also a really good choice. It also suits in moderately sweet desserts like puddings and natural fruit
